The one craze attributed almost solely to the MancGoffs is that of ducks. It all started with Fleetie. His bath-time companion, Quack, had been a constant companion for many, many years when Carrie suggested that Fleetie take him to Rockworld. Quack went down a storm, and it started a craze.
Of course, the original goth duck master was Nils; he, his companion Alan the Duck and their T-shirt are the stuff of goth legend. Respect due!
The original ducks were Superdrug ducks, avaliable from everyone's favorite high-street chemist. But sadly, shortly before Christmas 1998, Superdrug decided to withdraw the range, and the crazed MancGoffs had to turn elsewhere for their duck obsession.
MancGoff ducks now come in all shapes and sizes, from the gigantic Uberduck and Megaduck to the tiny UnterEnte, and the Alexander-confusing Invisiduck. They all however share the spirit that is pure MancGoff, and appear to cause spontaneous outbreaks of German speaking.
Seemingly, ducks are now everywhere - on the television, in adverts, and in shops. Look around you next time you go out. You'll be surprised. And then, you'll join us.
