Why Grimoire?
I really have Andreas to thank for this one... in my first year at Uni, I was round at Whitworth Park (chez Doofie) one day, talking about goth (unsurprisingly, for me...). Andreas decided that if I was to hang around with goths, I needed some poncy, overblown, made-up name. He altered my surname, and came up with the name "Alexander Grimoire".
As these things do, it sort of stuck... I started using Grimoire as my Quake handle, and as logins for various things on-line. When my website moved to GothicDreams, I chose Grimoire as my username. It's cute.
It's also worth mentioning that nobody in real life calls me Grimoire, nor do I want them to. My name is Alex; Grimoire is merely a Quake handle, a login name, a cognomen that makes my e-mail address more unique and interesting. But to you, humble reader, I'm Alex.
